Published January 1, 2024, the new International Fire Code (IFC) 24 includes new rules that define the requirements for lithium-ion storage and transportation. Many companies are finding that achieving compliance is a costly challenge. Compliance involves either investing in retrofitting existing rooms as dangerous goods (DG) rooms or using third-party fire-rated off-site storage facilities, thus delaying operationalizing lithium-ion devices in their infrastructure. To solve this challenge, Americase designed a line of products that enable companies to satisfy the new lithium-ion requirements cost-effectively and efficiently by introducing robust packaging that satisfies federal, state and local requirements. This presentation will discuss the challenges faced by Data Centers considering the new regulations and introduce Americase solutions that satisfy all UN and DOT transport and storage requirements, thus enabling facilities to comply with the new regulations without the need to invest in DG rooms or off-site storage.

Find out how Americase lithium-ion storage and transport solutions enable Data Centers and other businesses managing lithium-ion inventories to comply with the new IFC24 requirements while enabling safe and efficient operations, and reducing lead times for deployment, migrations, decommissioning, and maintenance.
