Daniel Sottosanti leads business development at XL Batteries, an energy storage startup pioneering an ultra-low-cost aqueous flow battery designed to enable long-duration, resilient grid storage. He is responsible for customer acquisition, strategic partnerships, and structuring first-of-a-kind commercial agreements, including pilot and tolling arrangements with major utilities, while also supporting fundraising, market positioning, corporate strategy, and government engagement as the company scales. Previously, Daniel led cleantech strategy, M&A, and venture investments at Xerox and PARC, working closely with executive leadership on commercialization and transformation initiatives. With a background spanning venture capital, asset management, and large-scale M&A, he brings a commercially grounded perspective on advancing innovative storage technologies critical to grid reliability, decarbonization, and long-term energy resilience.
