Donald Slaiman, Director of Community Relations, IBEW Local 26

Don Slaiman has built a career spanning more than 40 years in labor and workforce development. He has led organizing campaigns in 39 U.S. states and over 40 countries, gaining extensive experience in coalition-building, strategic planning, leadership development, and international labor relations. His work included supporting the growth of independent trade unions in Eastern Europe.

Don currently serves as the Director of Community Relations for IBEW Local 26, where he focuses on expanding workforce pipelines and connecting diverse communities to careers in the electrical industry.

He holds a B.S. in Social Sciences and Political Science from James Madison University (minors in Economics, American Studies, and History), completed graduate studies at The University of Texas at Austin, and pursued post-graduate work in Labor and Industrial Relations at the Akademie der Arbeit in Frankfurt, Germany.
