Hadia Sheerazi, Programme Consultant, Build Clean Now, Mission Possible Partnership (MPP)
Hadia Sheerazi has a decade of cross-sectoral experience in the intersectional fields of energy, infrastructure, industrial decarbonization and resilience. She has led research and partnerships to derisk the deployment of first-of-a-kind (FOAK) and large-scale energy and infrastructure projects by designing innovative frameworks and developing best practices for effective stakeholder engagement to secure the critical social license and local buy-in from host communities across the full lifecycle of project development. Hadia is currently working on supporting country-level implementation of national industrial decarbonization strategies at the Mission Possible Partnership's (MPP) Industrial Transition Accelerator program. She leads end-to-end design and delivery of country-level stakeholder convenings and structured dialogues among senior leaders from government, industry, finance and NGO sectors to unlock cross-sectoral and sector-specific insights to identify intervention pathways to strengthen institutional capacity and accelerate deployment of priority industrial projects in Mexico and Canada.
Previously, she was the inaugural Program Manager of the Carbon Management Research Initiative at Columbia University's Climate School, leading research and projects to catalyze whole systems change through data-driven research on carbon removal and clean hydrogen technologies to inform policy and investment decisions, support public-private partnerships, and facilitate high-level engagements with local, state, and federal policymakers in the U.S., and energy and climate ministries in Europe, Asia, Latin America and Oceania. She holds a dual MSc in Sustainability Management and Conflict Resolution from Columbia University and a BA in Government and Politics from St. John's University, and is based in New York
