Chris Muller is the Global Director, High Purity Segment – Gas-Phase at AAF International. He is a member of ASHRAE Technical Committee 9.9 for Mission Critical Facilities, Data Centers, Technology Spaces and Electronic Equipment and contributed to their whitepaper on "Gaseous and Particulate Contamination Guidelines for Data Centers" as well as their handbook titled "Particulate and Gaseous Contamination in Datacom Environments." Mr. Muller has written and spoken extensively on the topics of data center environmental assessment, control, and monitoring with more than 25 papers and articles and 30+ seminars and presentations to his credit. He wrote the chapter on "Corrosion and Contamination Control for Mission Critical Facilities," in the Data Center Handbook: Plan, Design, Build, and Operations of a Smart Data Center, 2nd Ed. published in 2021 by John Wiley & Sons, Inc. Mr. Muller has consulted on the development of environmental air quality guidelines in mission critical applications for companies such as Dell, Digital Realty Trust, Google, HP, Huawei, IBM, and Morgan Stanley. He has worked with the China Electronics Engineering Design Institute (CEEDI) to update China National Standard GB 50174-2008: Code for Design of Electronic Information System.
