Aaron Epiney, IES Modeling and Simulation lead, Idaho National Laboratory
Dr. Aaron Epiney holds a Ph.D. degree in Physics from the Ecole Polytechnique Federale de Lausanne (EPFL) in Lausanne, Switzerland. Aaron currently works at the Idaho National Laboratory (INL). He is the modeling and simulation (M&S) lead for the DOE Office of Nuclear Energy Integrated Energy Systems (IES) program. In this role, he leads and coordinates the development of the different FORCE tools that are developed by the IES program to evaluate the technical and economic potential of candidate IES. He also coordinates various cross-program and industry collaborations that include IES application cases and techno-economic evaluations for IES in different potential markets additional to electricity (clean water, hydrogen, etc.).
