Virtual pipeline solutions to deliver Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG), Compressed Natural Gas (CNG), and Renewable Natural Gas (RNG) provide data center owners and operators the ability to reduce emissions while providing the critical power needed to operate during utility grid interruptions. In many instances, emissions restrictions limit the ability for a data center to utilize onsite backup power when needed. Through the delivery of LNG, CNG, and RNG as power generation fuel, data center operators can reduce their emission profile allowing them to utilize onsite power generation as needed, without the air quality limitations. While operating during critical times is paramount, natural gas as a fuel is also lower cost in many cases. Overall, attendees can expect to learn how natural gas can reduce emissions, what a cost comparison might look like, and how the ability to deliver large volumes of LNG, CNG, and RNG is feasible and reliable. Additionally, attendees will better understand how the blending of renewable natural gas into traditional gas feedstocks can further reduce the data center’s carbon footprint, while remaining competitive in cost with traditional diesel fuels.
