Donovan Tindill is an industrial control systems (ICS) / operations technology (OT) cybersecurity subject matter expert, currently with DeNexus and over 20 years prior with Honeywell. He has over 25 years’ experience in ICS/OT cybersecurity, with 17 years as a control systems cybersecurity consultant, training/mentoring the technical team and leading major projects across Electric Utilities (Generation, Transmission, Control Centers), Oil & Gas (Refining, Oil Sands, Pipelines), Chemicals, Forestry, Wood Products, Mining, and others. Donovan supports global industrial cybersecurity by volunteering to teach, industry standards development, multiple ICS/OT security conference committees, industry advisor to academic institutions developing ICS/OT security programs, and public speaking. He was Vice-Chair for Department Homeland Security (DHS) Industrial Control Systems Joint Working Group (ICSJWG) Steering Team (IST) for 7 years; Public Safety Canada ICS Security Symposium Advisory Committee member for 6 years; Southern Alberta Institute of Technology (SAIT) industrial cyber security program’s industry advisory group. For over 5 years he devoted time to support ISA-99/ISO/IEC-62443 control systems cybersecurity standards as a Contributor, Committee Leader, Trainer, and co-chair for TR62443-2-3 IACS Patch Management published in 2015. He is recognized as a CS2AI Fellow, 10-year S4 Alumni, and Founding Faculty at CambiOS Academy.
