Rick Thissen, Sr. Advisor, Itascapoint Inc.
Experience Currently working as a Sr. Advisor for Itascapoint focusing on all things data center. As a boutique firm we perform a complete spectrum of actions from data center ideation, concept, design, and build. We then shift into migration, provisioning, managing, and monitoring. If needed, we also perform end of life decommissioning of data centers. He is currently managing several on-prem data centers throughout Minneapolis, as well as colocation sites in the US, Europe, and Asia. This fall will mark 5 years with Itascapoint. Prior to Itascapoint, Rick spent just shy of 30 years at Thomson Reuters, most recently managing the hosting business for Top 250 law firms. In this role he gained experience of moving data center infrastructure from the firm’s office spaces into the Thomson Reuters data centers. He also managed the needed network connectivity for the firms to continue to operate while their data center was now either cross town or cross country. Education Rick has a BS degree from St. Mary’s University in Information Technology
