Jack's career started in large scale chilling and refrigeration systems, including work at manufacturers Carrier and Trane. He then designed and built cold-storage facilities, and executed design-build of mechanical systems, including pre-fabricated process refrigeration systems. Before focusing on cooling in the data center industry, he developed cooling equipment for ground support of aircraft, both commercial and military. For over a decade, he has concentrated on developing highly efficient systems for very large-scale data centers, with hundreds of megawatts of equipment delivered. Most recently, he has developed specialized methods and equipment for immersion cooling of high-density data equipment in a two-phase fluid, with patents applied for.Jack studied Mechanical Engineering at the University of Missouri - Rolla. He earned the PMP certification from PMI in 2012, and he was issued the eighth HVAC contracting license ever issued by the State of Texas.
