Jonathan Greives serves as the Deputy Director, Division of Advanced Reactors and Non-power Production and Utilization Facilities (DANU), Office of Nuclear Reactor Regulation (NRR)
Mr. Greives joined the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) in 2009 as a Project Engineer in the NRC’s Region I office. Since joining the NRC, he has held positions of increasing responsibility, including Resident Inspector and Senior Resident Inspector at Susquehanna Steam Electric Station and Regional State Liaison Officer. In 2018, Mr. Greives was selected as a Branch Chief in the Division of Operating Reactor Safety, Region I. Mr. Greives also served as the acting Deputy Director for the Futures Core Team in the Office of the Executive Director for Operations and most recently as the Deputy Director in the Division of Advanced Reactors and Non-power Production and Utilization Facilities in the Office of Nuclear Reactor Regulation.
Before joining the NRC, Mr. Greives served in the U.S. Navy as a nuclear-training submarine officer and also served as an instructor at the Navy’s nuclear power school and prototype training facilities.
Mr. Greives received a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from Bucknell University and a master’s degree in business administration from University of North Carolina’s Kenan-Flagler Business School. Mr. Greives is a graduate of the NRC’s Senior Executive Service Candidate Development Program.
