Since 2018, Amanda has been the professional engineer representative on the City of Chicago Electrical Commission, collaborating with other industry representatives to establish best practices and requirements for the city. Additionally, Amanda mentors junior engineers, believing that sharing her knowledge and training fosters new ideas and questions, which helps her stay current with code references and design skills.
