The efficiency and capacity of cooling systems are at the mercy of Mother Nature. Understanding the external thermal environment is crucial for the sustainable operation of data centers. Accurate modeling of the interplay between all hot exhaust sources provides critical design information.
However, which modeling approach should you choose? How valid are the results? Do they provide insight into the risk of an adverse event? This talk will use case study examples to introduce the three most used thermal modeling tools. The pros and cons of each tool will be discussed to empower the audience to evaluate 3rd-party results critically.
