If we're honest, customers and investment community still look at the "edge" with a wary eye. Despite multiple competitors and models prospective end users are still seeking an edge solution that offers them two things:
1) The ability to put them wherever they need them
2) Simplicity
In this presentation, Tony Grayson President of Compass Quantum will examine the multiple factors inhibiting edge computing from broad market acceptance. Among the issues Mr. Grayson will explore are diversity of product definitions, limitations of current offerings and how the management and support of 100's or thousands of locations can't require ten times the headcount. In concluding his presentation Mr. Grayson will discuss the potential of a new Edge as a Service business model.
