Data center servers are going through a major architectural shift with the increasing share of artificial intelligence workloads like machine learning and deep learning. The increasing diversity in workloads and the drive towards sustainability would create more opportunities for a broad set of CPU and other processor architectures and some of them could be very disruptive. The number of data processing silicon in the servers are going up with the wide spread use of GPUs, DPUs, FPGAs and other accelerator ASICs. Emergence of high speed networking and cache coherent interfaces like CXL are set to drive a paradigm shift in server design from the traditional von neumann architecture.

The audience will get an overview of
1. The technology transitions in data center servers, CPUs, co-processors and networking
2. The impact of these changes in the data center architecture, power and cooling
3. The alignment of these technology transitions with sustainability
