The rise of new computing paradigms such as cloud, cloud-native, and edge has bought the IT department to another significant inflection point. Combine the impact of the technologies with the impact of businesses becoming digital and IT must adapt to the new realities this means for roles and responsibilities. Nowhere is this change felt more than in the IT Operational teams as the use of cloud computing continues to transform the day to day tasks that are performed.
In this session we will look at how the IT Department, or the digital services and solutions department, is likely to be transformed at a high level. Then we will drill down and look at AIOps in particular and consider how it can provide some answers to transforming the IT Operations role and purpose. We will also consider what DevOps and DCP (developer control plane) mean to IT Operations. This session will present a perspective of what the future could look like and explore AIOps in some depth, while introducing other concepts that IT Operations need to be aware off.
