The IoT application is a convoluted topic in building infrastructure where a combination of subsystems works in relative autonomy. The emergence of IoT has trades competing to be all-or-nothing solution in commercial structures. Greater outcomes can be achieved using new technological advances only when leveraged across multiple ecosystems within the infrastructure using open standard frameworks in the IT space. The buildings synergy theory can be accomplished using Platforms driven by IT infrastructure, allowing multiple trades working together to lower capital expenditures; increasing technological services in a commercial facility and simplifying O+M over the facility life cycle. This philosophy is not free of many factors in modern design and construction, but the increased design/deployment rate is driven organically by enterprise owners and operators.
